The Castro Valley Community Band is a 60-piece, all-volunteer concert band based in Castro Valley, California and conducted by Kathleen (Kathy) Maier. 

• The Oakland Youth Orchestra

Oakland Youth Orchestra is recognized as an outstanding musical organization in Oakland and the San Francisco Bay area. Today OYO consists of seventy-five talented music students aged 12 to 22 from throughout the region. 2009-2010 Auditions will be held on: Tuesday May 5, Wednesday 6 and  Saturday, May 9.
